We strive to promote an exemplary environment while maintaining an outstanding reputation for quality care and learning.

We are a not for profit, community owned and teacher-led centre.

All Saints Early Learning Centre provides a programme based on the National Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whāriki. Te Whāriki views the child as a unique individual who is a competent, confident learner and communicator. The teaching team have a strong inspirational influence from the educational approach of Reggio Emilia, Italy. The Reggio approach positions the child as an individual who brings a wealth of knowledge to exploring and discovering their environment and the wider world around them.

The wider the range of possibilities we offer children, the more intense will be their motivations and the richer their experiences.

Our Enviroment

We view our Centre environment as a provocative learning tool, where opportunities are strategically set out to offer children opportunities to construct their own learning theories and hypotheses that then leads to deeper levels of understanding. We view our role as co-constructors of knowledge, where we work alongside children fostering interests and nurturing holistic development in partnership with family and whānau. We pride ourselves on our commitment to embracing nature, and we endeavour to reflect a sustainable environment.

Our Teachers

Our teachers believe in unconditional love for every child, whereby each child is accepted for who they are and for what they bring to the Centre learning environment. We acknowledge that children have rights and believe they should be listened to, heard, and respected as our youngest citizens. Children are given time and opportunity to explore and express themselves through the multiple mediums and experiences offered at the Centre.

Vision & Values

All Saints Early Learning Centre respects the bicultural heritage of Aotearoa New Zealand and we embrace the diverse nature of our community. We strongly believe that parents/whānau play an integral role in our Centre environment. We value parents/whānau input and appreciate their contributions and unique perspectives in our Centre curriculum.
